I’m an award winning Creative Director/Copywriter with over 25 years of experience on a wide range of brands, at agencies of all sizes.
Currently, I’m a creative for hire at shops such as FCB Garfinkel, McCann, Digitas and Arnold. My work recently helped McCann win State Street Global Advisors, kept Comcast customers from cutting the cord and took a very different approach in trying to get adults to quit smoking.
Prior to freelance, I was an Associate Creative Director at Havas on Charles Schwab and optionsXpress. While there, I also contributed to Exxon, PayPal, Dos Equis and Lysol, as well as numerous new business pitches that resulted in 2 wins.
Before Havas, I freelanced at agencies including TBWA\Chiat\Day, Ogilvy, Hill Holliday, Arnell and FCBi on Reebok, NBA Apparel, NFL Apparel, Miller Lite, Lenovo and Nokia. During this time, as the Freelance Interactive ACD at Hill Holliday, I helped lead the AOL pitch, win and relaunch.
From 2000 to 2002, I was the sole Creative Director of a small California agency, Glass McClure in Sacramento. Under my creative leadership, we won 9 of 11 pitches, tripled billings and won dozens of regional awards.
In 1997, I left NY and moved to LA to try to make it as a screenwriter. While writing scripts, I freelanced at a few agencies, but mostly worked in Reality TV as a Writer/Producer. After a while, I realized how much I missed making ads. So I left reality and went back to advertising.
During the early part of my career, I did two stints at DMB&B, working on brands like Crest, Burger King, Maxwell House, Citizen Watch and Scope. I was also an ACD at Campbell Mithun in NY on Texaco, Country Pride Chicken and Manischewitz.
My work has been recognized by the Addys, Andys, Art Directors, Clios, Cannes, Gold Effies, Interactive Media, London International, New York Festivals and OBIEs.
